Music from James Pants in last week's playlist. I was loving Pants on Chrome Children Vol. 2 (unfortunately no longer free to download) and I'm loving him now after checking out his magazine love and blog hollers. We heard audio straight out of the Do A Couple Things video (above) featuring Pants's funky basement beats, awkward sandwich eating, and a cameo from N.W.A's Arabian Prince!
Had some calls about the funky house set earlier in the show which included the future classic Wu Tang Slide from Bamabounce (available here). Nephews of Phela gave us a rework ofOscar Sulley's "Bukom Mashie" (maybe you can get it here?), and we also heard Olivier Gosseries Clap Your Hands 2002 (again, could be a shot in the dark) who's still doing the house thing. He's got mixes up in the downloads section of his website that might be worth a look.
Had a relaxing trip home to the tristates. Back in town now with a few new sides from the archives. I'll be going it alone tomorrow night but we're going to have live sets and interviews from Boston local Giesel and Chicago affiliate Hotboy Smooth so stay tuned for those details! Till then, see me at 10 tomorrow night!
