Hooold up! I'm out of town for the next two weeks. My apologies but I gotta get those last few weeks of summer in before heading back into the September grind. I leave you in the good hands of Drew this Wednesday and a yet to be determined saintly DJ for two weeks from now. I'm off to visit to the Berkshires, then down to Jersey and then a little stop off in the Illadelph before getting back to the bean. Wanted to leave some foot notes on the last two weeks before peaceing out:
This Gang of Textbooks track track (video above) from last week truly pushes the boundry of random vs. just plain bad rap. But, I've got to defer to Youtube, amazing me once again with this piece of amazing footage.
The Omzo track comes recomended by Maga Bo. You can check out Omzo at his official site, with more tracks on his space. Dude's got stuff coming out through the Nomadic Wax crew which should be something to look out for.
Some Dilla in the week before that, which reminds me I've got the official poster of the Dilla Foundation (as well as a copy of The Shining) on the way it's way in the mail. You can learn more about the Dilla Foundation and snag your own poster at JDilla.org. While this may be my first official blog mention of the one they call Jay Dee, if you've listened to the show before, you know I'm a total Dilla fanatic. While I can recognize critisizms of the circumstances surrounding the wider appreciation of his genious, I think it's important to recognize this dude weather you knew about him today, yesterday, or tomorrow and I'm glad to see something like the Dilla foundation making that happen in a positive way. With Ma Dukes at the helm you know it's gotta be allright.
Peace to you for the next two episodes. I'm allready off on my spirit journey and I'll be back with you in no time. Prospero,
