Big ups to the Weekly Dig for the quick feature last week. By "on location" they're referring to the (President's Day) Sunday before at Zuzu. Got a chance to play some party jams, classics, new stuff and weird shit alongside surprise guest Chris Devlin who held down the disco and club jams. I happened to be glaring at my Serato (erhmm, I mean Ms. Pinky) playlist when they quizzed me so all these are in mpthree format. We heard some of them in last week's show but how about I dump em all on you in .zip format as well? Mandatory linkage to b.cause and kingdom where credit is due.
And in case you missed the drama in last week's show, Prime Time magazine called in for the exclusive. This incident goes back a few months now, words we're said, people's moms were brought up, it wasn't pretty. Just in case this audio ends up in the wrong hands and people get it twisted, here's the real deal. Holiday Thug I'm comin for you:
Will we see retaliation on the other end of the spectrum!? Join me Wednesday to find out.

DJ Lone Wolf, International Player
Lone Wolf came through the studio last week, depicted above rocking Kwaito, Baile, and Juke CDs all acquired at their places of cultural origin in his recent travels, as well as additional gems from the throw back thinkpad! Funk, disco, freestyle, and a heavy dose of hip hop also lace this episode amidst requests and shout outs from radio land. Check the audio below, and catch some additional CD detail snaps here.
I've been a long time fan of Kevin's online offerings via Todo Mundo, in addition to his live sound where he hosts a monthly party of the same name at the Milky Way, and spins other gigs around town. Big ups again to him for coming through, it was great to sit down and hash stuff out!
I'm back on the air Wed. Rocking it solo but I may have some grievances to air/bombs to drop. See you then:

Love Emitting
Electro synth hype jams from Love Emitting Diode in last week's playlist. This dude is local and just getting started, but from the sound of his portfolio thus far I think we'll be hearing big things from homeboy in the future. Fits nicely with those 80's synth washes for your V-Day Week (check the audio from last week's post!)
A quick big ups to Flack and Wayne for having me out to Beat Research again Monday. In the tradition of BR all sorts of jams we're flying around; new dub fire from Flack, combed out cumbia from Wayne, and some Balkan/Baile and jungle mixes from yours truly. Gave me a lot of new ideas!
Tonight on the program, DJ Lone Wolf reps the Tudo Mundo constituency with a preview of tomorrow night's Valentine party at the Milky Way. Just when you thought we had hyped love day enough and given you nothing to do come actual Thursday, this will definitely be worth checking out (vid below). He's a busy dude with plenty else to talk about so be sure to tune in for the Lone Wolf exclusive!

V-Day Quick Mix
Valentines day always makes me think of drippy synth pop 80's record Molly Ringwald movies. It just so happens I have a mountain of those 12's hanging out in the archives, many of which we've heard (perhaps painfully and at length) on the air before. At the end of the day though, some of these fat baselines and synth sequencers matched with huge drum kits can't be denied. Here's a quick mix featuring some of my recent faves we've been listening too lately (some in last week's playlist), segued into some cut and paste style white labels I have and a few dance classics (for the ladies). I've got a few live dates coming up with a flyer above so this is the official PR campaign. Ghostdad in 08:
Xena - On The Upside Alisha - All Night Passion Interface - Robot Love cutnpaste white labels (various) Newcleus - Jam On It Yaz - Situation Janet Jackson - Control
A few of these, and a whole lot more on tomorrow nights program. Looks like we're going to have Lone Wolf(interviewing MIA wtf!?), and maybe even Kingdom in on the week after that Feb 13th show. They'll be hosting the premier Valentines Day smooth down at the Milky Way just a day later. Pretty sure they're planing some rnb/slow jamz which is way overlooked in the club these days BUT ALSO SO NECESSARY!
