J. Jonah and George Kush on Mofo.
J. Jonah Jameson and George Kush were good enough to role through last week's edition of Mofo Radio. They dropped some hip hop funk soul psychedelia favorites from their crates. Hit up the links below to download their sets. Some tech issues in the mix, crazy banter in between, but overall all good tunes and warm vinyl goodness.

The Sunday Night Shakedown on
WRBB.Big ups again to the
Flavorheard for helping me out Saturday night at the Harvard party at
The Advocate house. Everyone was getting down pretty hard and it got kinda crazy. Couldn't have done it without those guys. Check out some pics
here. You might notice some of the previously mentioned names regulating, as well as my party starting friends who are always down for a good time. Shouts to everyone.
Same mofo time and place tomorrow. Some new mp3's in the mail to play for yall. Hit it up tomorrow night at 10. See you,

Who Knows, tomorrow night (God willing)
No show last week so no
playlists to holler about. Here's the weekend update:
Friday night
Thunderdome with Drop the Lime's party crew
Trouble and Bass brought some serious club/rave sounds.
Mistaker and
Baltimoroder holding it down as well double room party style.
As if that wasn't enough,
Baltimoroder blows up the scene again Saturday night at the
Second Gallery benefit. Props to
Joseph Colbourne,
Lone Wolf,
Kingdom, and
Red Foxxworth for also making that a fun night. Hopefully Second Gallery bankrolled on it!
As for tomorrow night, same
Mofo time and place, but this week with long awaited special guests
J. Jonah Jameson (aka
Who Knows) and
George Kush! These guys have been
DJing and
beatmaking all over the Boston underground and are bringing their music topside hosting their own radio program,
Sunday Night Shakedown, on legendary hip hop heavyweight
WRBB 104.9. They'll be joining us with a taste of what they're bringing to the radio table as well as some solo beats and rhymes they've been working on the side. Not to be missed! I'll say god willing,
cuz these guys have flaked on me a few times, but I think we've got our contacts straightened out so this will be it.
I'll be
DJing another party for The Advocate over at Harvard this Saturday. Email me for details on that. Should be another
rager.
That's all I wanted to mention.
Gettin to it tomorrow night!

Valentine's week off.
BC Basketball put me out this week, and given the weather I'm kinda glad for it. Sorry to miss yall but it was good to catch up on my new job at
WGBH (also responsible for late post slackage). Peep out
this week's playlist. Highlights below.
Bhangra tracks (2nv, DJ Wanted) come recommended by Mr. Singh, aka
The Mixtape Maharaja. He's got zshare knowledge dropped all over the place with only a taste on his myspace page (warning; he's also a soca worrior, not that there's anything wrong with that).
Can't get off this new M.I.A. track.
The video is a must watch.
Can't get off this Tony Ronald track either. Who?
Here it is. Spanish version of Summertime and he's killing it! From the compilation
Sensational Soul on
Vampisoul. Really dig what Vampisoul have going on right now, some of the more interesting dug up funk/soul comps I've heard.
Quick shameless plug for this remix I did of Porcelain played at 45. Was just messing around at first but it came out kind of nice.
Check it here.
And lastly some hollers for the weekend.
Promise (give generously) on Saturday night competing with
Flavorheard at Enormous Room. Decisions decisions. Weather may be a factor. See me next Wednesday. Peace easy,

Rndm Robot Chrome
Let me commend
DJ Rndm and
Robotkid for throwing down an awesome set at a great event put on by
U.V. Protection this past Saturday night at
Art Interactive. A seamless audio and video mix on 3 giant video walls! Had I known the details of this show sooner, I would have posted it here but I've got to take a minute to look back. Speaking of looking back,
last weeks playlist.
Tracks from Chrome Children 2 at the top of last week's show. Best part is the album is free and most likely wont be mistaken for terrorism. In
conjunction with
Stones Throw, now available on the
Adult Swim website.
Herve's Trevor Lovey remix comes well
recommended from newly found music blogger Elizabeth. She's no stranger to
blogging, or music, but her mastery of both have only recently
culminated in
Home Taping. One to stay on top of for sure.
Before I forget there's
Roller Disco happening Thursday. I'm debating heading out depending on the cold. Given it's local there's probably some walking to be done in getting there. Also in a week and a half is
Promise, supporting one of the much needed alternative gallery spaces in Boston. That one's a must.
Mofo at the same time tomorrow. Just me and the
stax this week. On the 14
th I was planning to have some ladies in the studio, not for my own benefit but for a V day ladies room get down (or something) but it looks like there's BC basketball to be played so you'll have to get smooth on your honey without
Mofo in the background. Still catch me tomorrow and then two weeks from then. I'll be in touch. Peace.
