Lilly Allen can't get it out of her head either. She uses that line in a beat for her track "knock em out." I'm not all the way decided on her vocals, but her cuteness and poise to blow up are undeniable. Girl's got mixtapes too, which may mark some sort of official pop crossover or something.

Curved Air, who are in the business of giving away entire albums! This is truly music blogging on the next level, and it features all sorts of psych rock free jazz funk soul hip hop to boot. We heard a selection from their
JK & Co album post.

Stevie in Japan.
Not to be on a total Japan kick as of late but I couldn't resist this album cover featuring Syreeta and Stevie. I'd be interested to find out if they're still married in this photo, although they worked together long after their 18 month legal union. In this week's
abbreviated show we heard the classic single Harmour Love, the couple's actual last collaboration together, which would appear two years later on Syreeta's album One to One. Not the greatest melody in the world, but production and arrangement alone make it one hell of a single.
Also heard a little 666 mark of the beast tribute and mofo radio blog throwback from Amanda Leer with some help from Giuliuo on ÂBlood and Honey." The old link doesn't work anymore but this track is too good not to re-up.

Desmond and Japan.
Props to Desmond Decker who died last week. We heard a
"live version" of Israelites from when Decker appeared on some American bandstandesque type show. Looks like he's lipsinking, but with Israelites being one of the greatest reggae recordings ever, the applause is well deserved. His contributions to reggae are responsible for a music that has reached every corner of the world. Just ask the ladies of
OneAndG in Japan and they'll tell you Japanese Reggae is where it's at. I know what you're thinking, but these girls don't only know how to dress dancehall reggae, they can dance it too.

May have spoken out of turn on the "where are Haul and Mason" question. They've got new(er) mixes on
their site and some original tracks too,
one of which we heard later in the show.
And we also heard a lengthier selection from
Charlie Haden and the Liberation Music Orchestra who took songs of change to the freejazz realm in 1968 (an
Impulse classic if you ask me). Be sure to check out the redux with "Not In Our Name" and the
official CH web presence in the process. Awesome stuff.
