Below is the audio from that B.A.D. interview. Learn a little more about how this guy came up and stays up. He's definitely got progressive ideas on intellectual property (generally giving music away vs. selling it), but perhaps that comes with the booty turf? For a music that's generally spread through bootleg and online mixtapes and samples anything and everything, suppose it's appropriate for it's newcomers to be just as willing to sayyy, give out their phone number on the air and hook up tracks on request. No kidding!
Get some more in depth background and introspective on B.A.D., as well as links to his epic mix tape, from the man who made this all possible Lone Wolf via TodoMundoSound. And I always like to link back to Ruben Fleischer's great short for those completely out of the booty circuit (although approaches it from a Chicago angle where as BAD rides more for Detroit). I hear there's some live audio of sets from that party floating around too. I'll post em up proper if they surface. There was actually a fair amount of old school tech and acid in dudes set which was great in context.
Peep the rest of last week's playlist and I'll join you all again this coming Wednesday post Jersey Shore excursion. Who needs the cape anyway!?

Synths:
George Duke is totally not from this planet. I'll stand by my quote on the air as saying he's the Little Wayne of keytar. Here's the video accompanying the audio in last week's playlist:
Plenty on synth action on Euro disco legend Daniele Baldelli's new mix Cosmic Disco?! Cosmic Rock!! These Richard Bone and Ray Parker Jr. tunes may be as accessible as it gets among some out there disco cuts so I recommend checking this mix out further. We'll definitely be doing that a little more on the air this week!
And summertime at the Milky Way continues to be a total blast. This week Chris and Knife bring local big timers The Bladrunners out to JP. We've of course heard a bunch of their material on the air before so I've got that much more justification for posting the flyer up here!
And a final thanks for a DJ night's past that sadly went unmentioned on this blog until now. Meant to slip a note in here about it but totally summered on it. Beat Perv himself from Mofo's Past and that Scissor Test crew came down to help me hold down Beat Research this past Monday at the Enormous Room. And as if that wasn't enough, super surprise guest DJ Contra came through after his set with Santo Gold and blew the place up for the last bit. Thanks to everyone who came out. I can only hope I did Flack and Wayne proud! Pics and a painful video here.
wow megaposts catching up on this stuff. I'll on the air Wednesday we can chat more!
