OMG I ATE SO MUCH TURKEY I CAN'T EVEN GO ON THE INTERNET.
Alright I'm over it. But we are in serious wind up mode into holiday mayhem. Luckily there are three episodes of Mofo Radio to tide you over and keep you sane when you're not running around eating or avoiding your family.
Let's take it throw back to
two weeks ago when I played the future throwback sounds of
Bronx River Parkway. New York natives recorded with Puerto Rican legends, these guys are rekindling latin soul fire. This track hot off the blog at
Woodgrain Fronts. New in the game but bringing some serious noise already, this blog is one to follow. Listening examples posted often so hurry over, perhaps you can you can still nab those
BRP jams.
If you haven't nabbed the little audio offering from Radio Sandwich Nick's appearence on the show be sure to snag it in the previous post. He made sure we did things proper by faxing over the offical track list:
Frank Ski - Welcome to Baltimore (Deco)
KW Griff and DJ Booman - Pick em up (Hardheadz)
Rod Lee - Feel me (can't remember label)
DJ Big Red - Jakyobodi (Baltimore Breakbeats)
DJ Blaqstarr - Supastar (Unruly)
He also reminded me another roller rink jam is upone us at
Chez Vous! The
Cert Bananas dudes are coming to town this time to hold things down so strap on eight wheels and practice dancing in the mirror cuz you're gonna want to look right on December 6th. I know, it's a Wednesday but I'll have to once again grant Mofo absolution so you can support this last of the rollerboogie institutions of Boston.
In personal news, I aquired 200 more crusty records and I don't know what to do with myself. If I manage to come out on top of the pile alive, I'll air the better material on the show, so stay tuned for some deep digs in December.
That's all I got for now. Keep it locked till the New Year pops, it's gonna get cold out.

Mofo Sandwiches
B-Boyin freestlyer turned radio DJ Nick dropped complete knowledge on the show last week with over an hours worth of vinyl gold. Straight clubbin at first with Baltimore breaks and ghetto tech. Then he broke it down half time with that dancehall bashment shit.
Check the playlist if you don't believe me. Word of warning that it's in no kind of order or accuracy at all, records were flying all over the place faster then I could chart them! I did manage to break off a chunk of that hype stuff though so download it and be enlightened:
NicktheDJpart1.mp3 Nick holds down his piece of the pie on Radio Sandwiches, airing Tuesdays from 7-8 pm on
WMFO. The
show schedule is the best way to get a hold of his most recent show, but I'm linking to his
website again cuz dude needs to get on it and update! Show us the light homie! He even spins live from time to time so I'll be sure to keep you updated.
Speaking of live this is a killer weekend to get out of the house before the winter hits. It all starts this Thursday with the opening of
Collision X at
Art Interactive. Following is the
Goodbye Rummy party over at Harvard featuring (as of an hour ago) yours truly DJ Ghostdad! We've got some Rummy Riddim live mashups planned so be sure to come check it out!
Friday starts at Harvard with the kickoff of
Antenna Alliance, a very cool project of the
Harvard Free Culture Society. Also a fundraiser/dance party back at Art Interactive and
Thunderdome just round the corner at the Cambridge Elks Lodge. So get ready to give Cambridge the run around, should be well worth it.
Wednesday night same place and time. No guests this week, just me. Keep me company!

internet delights
Alright so I need to address the internet right now. Not to throw the balance from terrestrial interests at hand but shit's been crazy lately. First off, thanks
Greg for hooking this blog up so it looks so good (Greg should post in his own blog more often). And thanks for the feedback on the
Halloween Hype mix. It kinda turned into an internet only release due to time constraints but I think it's been spread around enough. Lastly, a special thanks to
Discobelle for posting the mix. If I haven't hollered at these dudes before, holler. I've heard people say they "run" the blog game lately, and they've found their way over the the
Flavorheard pot of gold so I'll concur they know what's good.
That said, get ready for another week of radio broadcast! A few
stray playlists to throw your way. A track from Mr. Oizo two weeks ago sparked some interest. It's gotten a lot of blog attention already but
here it is again if all the links are broken. A week later caught the promo single from Plastic Little's
yet to be released super huge debut. Keep an ear to the ground on this one, shit is poised to blow up large.
In the future: Nick of
Radio Sandwiches joins us with some vinyl diamonds from his own collection. He'll be showing us how MFO does things on tomorrow's nights show, so tune in for what's sure to be a local radio showdown of the ages! See you tomorrow night!
